Dr. Cassie Martinson (Halverson) was born and raised in Coon Rapids, IA. She completed her undergraduate studies in biology from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, MN.
While completing her undergraduate degree Dr. Martinson played on the Saint Olaf women's golf team. She then continued her education at Southern California College or Optometry graduating summa cum laude and receiving her Doctorate in Optometry.
Following graduation Dr. Martinson returned home to Iowa to join Eye Care Associates in 2013. Dr. Martinson enjoyed working next to wonderful mentors and optometrist for many years before purchasing the practice in 2018. Eye Care Associates embodies the values she wants for her business. It is a family and community oriented business. Being apart of and working in a small community allows for a personalized and meaningful experience. It allows for the opportunity to give back to and serve the community and to know and connect with our patients.
Dr. Martinson loves the technological and material advances in optometry and the benefits they provide to her patients. She is a proud member of many organizations committed to continuing the excellence in optometry and to help provide the best for our communities.
Dr. Martinson is a member of the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association, Rotary International, Perry Ambassador Program, local chamber members for all three local communities, and Fellowship of Christian Optometrists.
Dr. Martinson met her husband Jake at Saint Olaf. They currently resides in Panora their two children, Lyla and Landon. In her spare time, Dr. Martinson enjoys spending time with her family, golfing, traveling, and various other outdoor activities.
